Techstep Essentials MDM/UEM + Mobile Threat Defense bundle includes enterprise-grade security across the device, network and app layers.

Device level: It spots risky system behaviour, rooting/jailbreaking attempts and firmware issues. UEM keeps devices in line with enforced encryption, certificates, passcodes and compliance rules. Private data is never sent to the cloud and stays on device.

Network level: It flags phishing, rogue Wi-Fi and Man-in-the-Middle attempts. UEM uses per-app VPN and secure tunnels to keep traffic safe and can cut access the moment risk appears.

App level: It catches leaky or malicious apps, dodgy permissions and zero-day threats. UEM controls what apps can run and can block, quarantine or enforce a workflow as soon as MTD raises a hand.

Techstep Essentials Mobile Threat Defense is billed per device. You can choose monthly pricing or a perpetual option. Number of Mobile Threat Defence licenses can be equal or lower to Essentials MDM licenses. This means that you can have this option for a selected group of devices.

Can I use Essentials Mobile Threat Defense if I already have a different MDM or UEM platform?

Essentials Mobile Threat Defense is designed as an add-on to the Essentials MDM/UEM solution and cannot be used with other MDM or UEM platforms. You would need to migrate to Essentials MDM/UEM to use it. 

What is the deployment process for Techstep Essentials Mobile Threat Defense?

Deployment is simple and fast. With Essentials MDM/UEM, Mobile Threat Defense is embedded — you just add the license key in settings and configure MTD policies. No additional installation needed.

 

Can Techstep replace Omnissa Workspace ONE or Ivanti Secure UEM for organisations migrating from on-premise deployments?

Yes. Essentials MDM/UEM and Essentials Mobile Threat Defense can replace other UEM platforms and support migration from existing deployments, whether customers are moving to the cloud or staying on-premise. Unlike other vendors, we remain committed to supporting and developing the on-site version of Essentials MDM/UEM for at least 10+ years, giving organisations the choice between on-premise and cloud deployment.
